Community leaders selected to serve on NCET board
Brook Bentley
Brook Bentley has been elected vice president of social media and image management for NCET, a member-supported non-profit that produces educational and networking events to help people explore businesses and technology.
Jon Edmondo and Annie Flanzraich have been re-elected to the board of directors of NCET.
Bentley is social media and content manager for Sierra Nevada Media Group, where she also serves the company’s Everything Nevada brand.
She previously worked as digital content manager for Northern Nevada Business Weekly, as a social media, writing and editing apprentice for Elephant Journal in Boulder, Colo., and as a blogger and editor for We Blog the World in San Francisco.
Bentley earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies at San Diego State University and expects to earn a master’s degree in business at the University of Nevada, Reno, this spring.
Jon Edmondo
Edmondo, re-elected as co-vice president of Tech Wednesdays, works as new business development manager for Gexpro Services.
He has more than 25 years of experience managing successful sales and marketing organizations for small and large corporations in the electronics, printing, graphics and financial services industries.
Edmondo earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the University of the Pacific and an MBA from Ohio University.
Flanzraich, re-elected as NCET’s vice president of communications for Tech Wednesday, is an award-winning writer, editor, and content strategist. She owns Flanz Writes a Reno-based business that offers writing, editing, strategy, and other content services. Since 2016, Flanz Writes has helped clients in Nevada, the United States and around the world create annual reports, special magazines, regular blog posts, scripts, op-ed pieces and more.
Annie Flanzaich
Before launching Flanz Writes in 2016, Flanzraich was the Creative Development Manager of RGJ Media and the editor of RENO Magazine.
Flanzraich’s editorial experience also includes four years of managing newspapers on Lake Tahoe’s north and south shores. She’s also worked with the Associated Press, Las Vegas Sun and Nevada Broadcasters Association. A University of Nevada, Reno alumna, Flanzraich graduated from the Reynolds School of Journalism.
